Do you like to scrapbook? Do you hate having to run to the store to buy more things just to make another page or two?  What most people don’t understand about scrapbooking is that it is an art, not just on the paper but the way you do everything related to the hobby. One of the major issues that people have with scrapbooking as their hobby is they don’t always have the room for the books and if that is the case then I highly recommend getting some digital scrapbooking software and if you do have the room then I would still suggest getting the software so that you don’t have to run to the store time and time again.

The first thing that I want to make sure you know is that scrapbooking can get very expensive if you are not watching what you are doing. For instance people who want to buy gold flaked paper will see that every sheet that they buy is going to put them back a couple dollars and if you use a lot of these then you will be out quite a bit of money very quickly. Just remember, scrapbooking is supposed to be a fun hobby, so make it just that.

Tips to help you with scrapbooking

Never get behind – One of the things you should never do is get backed up on your scrapbooking projects. When people get behind a year or even just a few months they tend to rush through all their projects as opposed to taking their time and doing it right. If this is your hobby and you really like to do it then I suggest taking your time no matter how far back you really are.

Use existing scrapbooks – Another tip that I have for you is to use an existing scrapbook as opposed to buying a new one. The way you do this is you would extend or add a second part to an already finished scrapbook which will just make it longer. Just whatever you do don’t take the pages out and try to start a new book because this will only create more problems for you later on. Just know that using the same scrapbook for more than 1 occasion will work just fine as long as you put in the time and effort into it.

Use digital scrapbooking – One thing that you should try is digital scrapbook software because it really does more than you think. Most people that try going digital say they really like it and why not, you don’t have a bunch of papers laying around, you can save projects and come back to them later, each scrapbook looks professionally done, and you can make more than one copy. Just know that digital scrapbooking will most likely be the new normal and that is why I think you need to try it out. Just remember that if you don’t like it you can go right back to what you were doing.

The last thing that I want to make sure you understand is that a digital scrapbook is not just a way to save money, it saves time, space, and energy, all of which you will need if you really love to scrapbook.
